I Pray

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen

Our father, who are in heaven, hallowed be your name; your kingdom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.

Hail Mary full of grace, the lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen

I believe in one God, the father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, born of the father before all ages. God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, Holy, catholic and apostolic church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

You are holy, O God.
You are holy, O Strong One.
You are holy, O Immortal One.
Have mercy on us. (3 times)

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended thee, and i detest all my sins because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend thee, my God, who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

Act of faith
O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine persons, father, son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine son became man, died for our sins, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because you have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

Act of hope
O my God, relying on your almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of your grace, and life everlasting through the merits of Jesus Christ, my lord and redeemer.

Act of charity
O my God, I love you above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because you are all-good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.

The Angelus is traditionally recited morning (6:00 Am), noon and evening (6:00 Pm) throughout the year except during Easter time, when the “Queen of heaven” is recited instead.

* The angel of the lord declared unto Mary.
** And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary…

* Behold the handmaid of the lord.
** Be it done unto me according to thy word.

Hail Mary…

* And the word was made flesh.
** And dwelt among us.

Hail Mary…

* Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
** That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Pour forth, we beseech thee, o lord, thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the incarnation of Christ thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His passion and cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

It is said throughout Easter Season.

Queen of heaven, rejoice, Alleluia.

For he whom you did merit to bear, Alleluia.

Has risen, as he said, Alleluia.

Pray for us to God, Alleluia.

Rejoice and be glad, o Virgin Mary, Alleluia.

For the Lord has truly risen, Alleluia.

O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, I believe in you: increase my faith. I trust in you: strengthen my trust. I love you: let me love you more and more. I am sorry for my sins: deepen my sorrow.

I worship you as my first beginning, I long for you as my last end, I praise you as my constant helper, and call on you as my loving protector.

Guide me by your wisdom, correct me with your justice, Comfort me with your mercy, protect me with your power.

I offer you, Lord, my thoughts: to be fixed on you; my words: to have you for their theme; my actions: to reflect my love for you; my sufferings: to be endured for your greater glory.

I want to do what you ask of me: In the way you ask, for as long as you ask, because you ask it. Lord, enlighten my understanding, strengthen my will, Purify my heart, and make me holy.

Help me to repent of my past sins and to resist temptation in the future. Help me to rise above my human weaknesses and to grow stronger as a Christian.

Let me love you, my Lord and my God, And see myself as I really am: A pilgrim in this world, A Christian called to respect and love All whose lives I touch, Those under my authority, My friends and my enemies.

Help me to conquer anger with gentleness, Greed by generosity, Apathy by fervour. Help me to forget myself and reach out toward others.

Make me prudent in planning, Courageous in taking risks. Make me patient in suffering, unassuming in prosperity.

Keep me, Lord, attentive at prayer, Temperate in food and drink, Diligent in my work, Firm in my good intentions.

Let my conscience be clear, my conduct without fault, my speech blameless, my life well-ordered. Put me on guard against my human weaknesses. Let me cherish your love for me, Keep your law, and come at last to your salvation.

Teach me to realize that this world is passing, that my true future is the happiness of heaven, that life on earth is short, and the life to come eternal.

Help me to prepare for death with a proper fear of judgment, but a greater trust in your goodness. Lead me safely through death to the endless joy of heaven.

(Attributed to Pope Clement Xi)

Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures - I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul: I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.
